The Leslie-Lohman Erotic Drawing Studio Presents DIRTY LITTLE DRAWINGS
Friday March 27 – Sunday March 29, 2015, Opening: Friday, 6-8pm, Sat. & Sun. 12-6pm
DEADLINE: March 11, 2015. In-person submittals at a Drawing Studio session only. Each Wednesday 7-10 PM.
THE RULES
1. Any artist who has attended the Leslie-Lohman Erotic Drawing Studio is eligible to participate.
2. A minimum of eight (8) drawings must be submitted. There is no maximum number.
3. Artwork must be precisely 5-1/2 inches by 5-1/2 inches in size.
4. Unmatted and unframed.
5. Artwork must be figurative, and can be made either in or out of the Leslie-Lohman Erotic Drawing Studio.
6. Executed on a paper weight similar to that of a post card, to hold to the wall with tape. No works on newsprint or delicate paper (too fragile) or board (too heavy).
7. Executed in any medium. Works in charcoal, pastel, etc MUST be spray fixed. DO NOT WRAP drawings individually. Digital works can be entered, provided that each piece is a one-of-a-kind unique piece (only one print made); multiple prints will not be accepted.
8. All works will be priced alike at $60 each; money goes directly to the artist.
9. A voluntary donation of 25% of sales to benefit the Leslie-Lohman Gay Art Foundation is suggested.
10. Each work must have the artist’s name clearly printed on the back, signed on the front.
11. All work to be delivered in a large sturdy envelope to the Drawing Studio no later than Wednesday, March 11th. Write your NAME and NUMBER OF DRAWINGS on the outside of the envelope. We will verify the number. Artists must sign a separate consignment form each time they bring in additional drawings.
12. Each and every work should be labeled with your first and last name and numbered on the back. How you number it is up to you. You can use your initials and a number, e.g. HR001, HR002, HR 003, etc.
13. Works delivered between NOW and February 25 will be posted online for marketing so submit early!
14. Works will be removed from the wall upon payment (no red dots).
15. Sales will be by cash or by personal check from the buyer, payable to the artist.
16. Allowing buyers to use their credit cards could encourage sales. We will handle credit card sales by separate arrangement. Please inquire.
17. Artists should come to the studio on Sunday March 29 at 6pm to help take down the unsold work. All work must go back to the Dirty Little Drawings Exhibition Committee at the end of the show for accounting purposes. Unsold works will be returned to artists at the Wednesday, April 1st Drawing Studio.
